In this case: activist and musician Phil Ochs (who came up with this quote), Dries Van Noten with his first exhibition in Venice - and me when I founded Beauty without Irony in 2001 after the attacks on the Twin Towers in NYC. Since then, true beauty has been my 'weapon of mass information'. And it's needed more than ever today.<\/span><\/p><p><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family:'system-ui', '-apple-system', 'system-ui', sans-serif;\">\"In such ugly times, the only true protest is beauty\" is a famous quote by folk singer-songwriter Phil Ochs, often cited as a call to preserve humanity, art, and hope in the face of destruction or injustice.
